qua serenissimam, Augustissimamque reginam, Mariam de Medicis, excepit senatus populusque Amstelodamensis. Auctore Caspare Barlaeus. Amsterdam, I. & C. Blaeu, 1638, (12),62 p., with engraved frontispiece portrait, 2 folding plates (incl. the profile of the city, 29 x 63.5 cm.) and 14 double-page plates by P. Nolpe after C. Moeyaert and by S. Savary after S. de Vlieger and M. de Jonge, contemporary vellum, folio.

Landwehr, Splendid Ceremonies, 108; Muller, Historieplaten, 1793. Without the portrait of the 4 mayors, found in some copies. Shabby copy with old owner's marks/ annotations to title and endpapers; title also sl. frayed and stained; ink stain/ water stain to upper right corner throughout the bookblock and minor other defects. Upper joint split on inside, vellum stained and worn along edges, lacks ties. Copy from the first edition, which appeared simultaneously in Latin and in French, with the plates in the first state, before the numbering (better appreciated by Muller).
