[Delft. Wall plan] Dirck van Bleyswijck. (Kaart figuratief)
Contemporain handcoloured plan, 83 x 126 cm., engraved by Johannes de Ram (signed "I. de Ram Fecit" in tail margin) and with 5 cartouches by Romeyn de Hooghe, printed on 4 connected leaves, published in Amsterdam by Andries Smith, c. 1675-1678, carefully mounted on modern cloth holder, in frame.
Somewhat tanned and soiled and with superficial wear. A very carefully restored copy. Van 't Hoff, Oude plattegronden van de stad Delft (1963), p. 10 and illustration 6 on p. 37; Hollstein De Ram 3, the first state (of 2), before the addition of the armamentarium; Hollstein De Hooghe 274; Landwehr, Romeyn de Hooghe the Etcher, p. 371 (plates arbitrarily attributed to De Hooghe). The most important, very rare plan of Delft, here without the separately printed border views and the profile.
