Family archive of M.M. Couvée
Circa 1850-1910, archive compiled by Marinus Mattheus Couvée (1834-1916), publisher and bookseller at The Hague, probably expanded by his son Marinus Mattheus Couvée Jr. (1861-?), also bookseller. Comprises 2 manuscript poem collections and 1 manuscript, unpublished story by Marinus Couvée himself + 2 occasional books (1852 and 1856). Both cordbound + 1 account book, 1870-1885. Cardboard, lacks spine + 1 notebook by Marinus Couvée with lists of texts that were the topic of sermons between 1849 and 1854 + 2 family trees, of which 1 entirely manuscript, in cassette + 1 later manuscript poetry album, c. 1950, of Ellen Couvée - and 7 publications.
The archive provides a personal view of the Couvée family particularly in the second half of the 19th century. (total 17)
