The view sl. stained and trifle torn in on fold. Secret, hastily compiled "new" edition by Maaskamp: for this edition the first part of the bookblock of the original edition (with 300 p.) has been used, with at the bottom a strip pasted across the letterpress line "Fin de la première partie"; almost certainly done by the pragmatic publisher Evert Maaskamp himself. The division of the plates has been changed at binding, given the divergent impression the plates left on the facing letterpress text leaves. However, the new composition still appears original. PiCarta does not list this variant.
