The Haarlem rederijkerskamer "Trou moet Blijcken" hosted a match for plays and poems related to Christian charity. The most important rederijkerskamers of the country joined, including Leiden, Katwijk, Schiedam, Aedwaertswoude (Hazerswoude), Vlaardingen, Amsterdam, Noordwijk, Haastrecht, Gouda, The Hague and Ketel.
