Documents: [Cort van der Linden] Typescript for a speech about war issues, c. 1915, 1 side recto - 8 calling cards from Mr. & Mrs. Cort van der Linden and 2 from Minister of War Eland (with handwritten text) and ambassador Loudon - ± 70 formal documents such as invoices, stocks, notes of remittance, etc. Dutch, English and French firms and institutions, 1897-1929 - 8 poems in manuscript by Cort van der Linden, 1885-c. 1915. - 33 letters and cards to Cort van der Linden and/or his wife, 1910-1930s, informal family letters as well as business correspondence - typed inventory (in twofold) of the household articles of the Cort van der Lindens, 1920s, 7 leaves of which 4 with a precise description of their book collection. *Exceptional collection of material regarding Cort van der Linden, the Dutch Prime Minister (1913-1918) who kept The Netherlands out of the First World War. He was also very close to the royal family, as is evident from the fact that in 1901, as a special civil servant, he blessed Wilhelmina's marriage to Duke Hendrik of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. He was also one of the few people who descended to Queen Mother Emma's burial vault at her funeral in 1934. These royal letters are therefore of an intimate nature. Letters by Wilhelmina and Emma are very scarce.
