Composite map in 9 parts (see also cartouche centre right) with at the top a large cartouche with the title carried by putti and also a cartouche with scales and legend. North oriented west. Map 101 x 118 cm. Highly detailed map in good condition.
The copper plates for this impression were originally used by Frederik de Wit (c. 1670) and later bought by Pieter vander Aa, who published this composite map (c. 1730), the then-existent post stations (more than 200) being marked with a P inside a square being the most significant change. Covens and Mortier, who in turn bought the plates, issued this last version without any changes (c. 1750).
