Lacks the rules of the game and most of the small cards. Very rare, no other copies traced. Published in parts as extra plates to be cut-up with issues of the "Kinder-Courant". We found the game mentioned and depicted (uncoloured) in the issue of 1856, with instructions on how to prepare the cards, closely followed by the original owner of our copy. Also, the total amount of cards after the preparation is mentioned: 30. But the letterpress small card "De rebus" is without its large counterpart. Comprising a.o.: "Een sukkel"; "Washington"; "" De ezeldrijver"; "De school"; "Jan-Slaapmuts"; "De courantlezer"; "Franklin" (on his kite-experiment); "De flaneur"; "Spoorweg-Kantoor". Added: (2) Upidee. The Great Race Game. incl. 20 cards, rules and 6 chromolith. horses with jockeys. Ca. 1890. Box worn and partly split on edges -and (3) Klok-en Hamerspel. 3 sets of 5 cards, the earliest ca. 1820 -and 22 antique small dices.
