*Dutch writer and journalist Lapidoth based his novel on his own experiences with Parisian occult circles around 1890 and figures like Péladan, Magus and Stanislas de Guaita. It was strongly inspired by J.-K. Huysmans satanist novel Là-bas (1891). Rare.
