*Van der Horst was a catholic artist and paintings restorer from Delft. This publication went together with a small exhibit of Congolese art and object at N.V. Doorne, Delft. (Cf. Delftsche Courant, 26 february 1938. These coloured lithographs of Congolese natives are possibly after drawings made in Congo by Van der Horst Jr. Rare.
