*Circus Blumenfeld was a German circus from the Jewish Blumenfeld family, founded in 1811 by Emmanuel. They acquired winter quarters in Guhrau, Poland, in 1874. After his death, his widow and 16 children took over the Circus but it went bankrupt due to the aftermath of WW I and the following crisis of 1928.
