Rare handcoloured map on silk (97 x 73 cm), depicting the Hondsbossche Zeewering near Petten, with the coats of arms of dijkgraaf Pieter Ouwens and the members of the Heemraad, Jacob Klay, Jan Oostwoud, Adriaan Bregman, Willem Lodewijk Ivangh, Albert de Smet, Pieter Timmer and secretary H. van Vladeracken. Cartouche in lower right corner with the coat of arms of the Heemraad. Mounted between 2 perspex plates (100 x 77 cm) with cord.

Perspex with some scratching, map with horizontal and vertical middle folds and occ. small folds, silk sl. worn in folds, else very fine.
