Mai 68 Affiches

(1) Posters from the Revolution: Paris, May 1968. Texts and Posters by Atelier Populaire. New York, Bombs-Merrill,1969. Oversized book, 40.5 x 28 cm, 98 pp. Contains full colour posters with commentary in English. Fine copy, ex libris on first page, damage to the spine, toning to cover. Binding is intact, but the glue shows signs of weakening.

(2) Two posters by Tchou éditeur printed in 1968, 49.5 x 32 cm. These were part of the edition originally holding 35 posters from the Mai 68 French uprising. Added is the original portfolio wrapper (soiled) and the introduction sheet by Jean Cassou, in French. Includes the posters 'Vive la revolution pasioné de l'intelligence creative', fine copy, and 'Pas de rectangle blanc pour un peuple adulte: indépendance d'autonomie de l'O.R.T.F.', bumped corners and damage on top edge.
