[Albinism. Escapism] "Woman trapped in block of ice"
Friedländer, Hamburg, 1935. 48 x 36 cm. Lith. no. 9036.
Sl. toned along middle fold and edges.
*The lithograph does not have a title, but we can safely assume that the man depicted is Tom Jack, the "Ice King", an albino performer of escapism and illusionism. He married another albino performer named Wally Paradise in the early 20s. She is probably pictured here trapped in the block of ice. See also lot nos. 3030, 3031 and 3034.
