Monty Cantsin, Neoism

Collection of audiocassettes, a zine, flyer and an anthology by Monty Cantsin. The collective name was made up by David Zack, used first by Istvan Kantor in 1977 and then by many others affiliated with Neoism. The parodic movement, mostly active in the 1980s, drew inspiration from Fluxus, Dada, conceptual art and language poetry movements.

Includes: (1) Monty Cantsin, The Neoist Conspiracy, undated c.1989. Xeroxed zine, numbered copy 11, with hand added illustrations, 21 x 15 cm, 20 pp. (2) Flyer, 34.5 x 21.5 cm, 1988. (3) A Neoist Research Project. Open Mute, undated, 246 pp. Anthology with b/w ills. in a xeroxed look. Added: (4) Three audiocassettes with hand coloured paper covers and sticker labels.
