Artists' book based on a film by Broodthaers, illustrated with the pairing of a late-nineteenth-century amateur painting of an archetypal European ship and a twentieth-century photograph of a pleasure boat against a modern urban backdrop. Very good copy.

(2) Le Salon Noir 1966. Antwerpen, Ronny van de Velde,1988. Soft cover, 21.5 x 21.5 cm, 20 pp. Edition of 500. Beautiful booklet dedicated to Broodthaers’ installation ‘Le Salon Noir’ from 1966, which consisted of a room draped in black and a coffin with jars containing the printed profile of the poet Marcel Lecomte among others. Text in Dutch and French, b/w photographs of the artist and the installation. Near mint. (total 2)
