Paris based landmark zine of radical fashion aesthetics and art founded in 1992 by Elein Fleiss and Olivier Zahm. Purple launched a new generation of artists such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Claude Closky, Dominique Gonzalez Foerster, Viktor & Rolf, Veronique Branquinho, Bernadette Corporation, Vanessa Beecroft, Rita Ackermann et al. Includes four volumes: (1) No.4, Automne 1993, No.5, Hiver 1994, No.6, Eté 1994 and No.7, Automne 1994. Staple bound, 24.5 x 19 cm, colour printed, approx. 100 pp each. These early issues of Purple Prose are very rare.

Featured the PP scene with Maurizio Cattelan, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Lothar Hempel, Julia Sher, Margiela, Anders Edstrom, Larry Clark, Carsten Höller, Wolfgang Tillmans and many more.
