Portable jewellery box by Mappin & Webb, London
First half 20th cent., wood covered with black morocco, with engineered extending internal with tiered compartments, lined with dark green velvet, with lock and key, signed in gilt lettering "Mappin & Webb Ltd., 2 Queen Victoria St. E.C." on the rim of the hinged front panel, with large gilt lettered monogram "A.L.C." on top, 25.5 x 17.5 x 13.5 cm.
