Gerry Schum, Identifications
(1) Comprises a VHS tape of the video program curated by Schum for Sonsbeek 71, and the Sonsbeek catalogue listing the program. The videos were presented in an inflatable pavilion in the garden of the Gemeentemuseum Arnhem.
The Sony VHS cassette derives from the Sonsbeek 71 organization and is labeled 'Gerry Schum, Identifications, 1970, 36'30''.
Featured are Stanley Brouwn taking one step with the camera at the Dam in Amsterdam, Ger van Elk shaving a cactus, Serra's 'Hand Catching Lead', Pierpaolo Calzolari attempting to fly, Mario Merz making a collaborative drawing with a snail. Other contributors are Gilbert & George, Ruthenbeck, Rinke, Rückriem, Fulton, Anselmo, Boetti, De Dominicis and Zorio. Missing on this tape are the last 4 pieces by Walther, Weiner, Smithson/Holt and Sonnier. The tape is intact. (2) Sonsbeek 71, Part 2. Arnhem, Stichting Sonsbeek, 1971.
