Between 2007 and 2014, Rob Hornstra and Arnold van Bruggen attempted to tell the story of Sochi, where in 2014 the Winter Olympic Winter were held, and the change this would bring the complicated region in Russia. After years of documenting the people and their stories, giving a less positive look into the coming of the Olympics than had been stated by the Russian government, Hornstra & Van Bruggen were denied entrance to Russia in July 2013, for unnamed reasons and for an unspecified period of time.
