Series of 58 albumen photos, mounted on contemp. board, ca. 1896. Depicting: street scenes, local population (traditional police, dancers, servants) and flora and fauna in Soerabaia and Samarang. Mostly with explanatory contemp. manuscript label on verso. Each 13 x 17 cm. And 19 albumen photos on o.a. a tour to Prambanan, Fort "Vredeburg" in Jogiakarta -and the Jogjacarta crown prince "aan den arm van den assistent resident Halbertsma" .

Cased in a booksimulant titled 'Album N.O. Indië' in gilt. Front board loose, dam. to spine, sl. out of balance, on corner split open, but easily restored.
