Lortic, both covers w. central gilt coat-of-arms of the Prince d'Essling, gilt and ribbed spine w. monogram "VM" (of Victor Masséna d'Essling et de Rivoli (1836-1910)) in compartments, richly gilt turn-ins, marbled endpapers, a.e.g., sm. 16mo.

Leaf B2 w. restored tear (sl. affecting text); some sm. professional marginal restorations; first free endpaper loose. A very fine, desirable copy with ample margins and in a beautiful binding.
