Cornelis Claesz van Wieringen (1577-1633). "Four ships at sea"

Oil on panel, 17 x 35 cm, framed. W. printed paper ticket verso, attributing the painting to Van Wieringen and w. title: "Marine. Hollandsche fregatten op volle zee". W. annotation in pen: "Gekocht dinsdag 26.IX.1957 veiling A. Mak N.V. Dordrecht." (price in red pencil of 180 guilders). The panel is also stamped verso: "485 LF". On the painting, three ships have Dutch flags, the other one the Swedish flag.
