Interesting, very nice documentary manuscript on the fabrication-process of sugar, detailed in words as well as in images. "Inleiding. Op 18 October 1929 begon de campagne der Sucrerie d'Abbeville, 1 der 8 fabrieken behoorende aan de Société des Sucreries et Raffineries S.A.Y. Ik was er geengageerd gedurende de najaarscampagne als "volontair staigiaire", dwz iemand die mag doen en laten wat hij wil in de gebouwen der fabriek vermits hij de boel niet in de war stuurt (...)."
