[Art deco. Bali] Pita Maha sculpture of a crouching woman
Tropical hardwood sculpture, height 33 cm, 1935-1955, perhaps by Made Geremboeang (1912-1985).
A beautiful, detailed and probably early example of this kind of art related to the Balinese artists' group Pita Maha, founded in 1934 w. the help of the Dutch painter Rudolf Bonnet.
