Ca. 1850-1900. From all kinds of professions in Amst., incl. a.o. the "Aschkarmans", "Porster", "Straatreiniger", "Marktvegers" and "Nachtwachts". All but one printed by G. van de Linden/ E. van de Geer on Egelantierstraat 17, 1850-1900. Most for the municipality of Amst., a few for Diemen, Purmerend and Duivendrecht, w. woodcut ills. of the professions. Mounted on large, thick paper lvs.

The collection appears to be an archive from the printer; most of the greetings have annotations, corrections, additions and other remarks in pencil or pen in and around the text, sometimes w. replacement verses on verso.
