Large set of documents concerning the Dutch Informal Group, 1959-1960
Includes: (1) Pamphlet 'Die Holländische Informelle Gruppe', undated 1960. Printed b/w on orange sheet, 25 x 16 cm. Mission statement by Armando, van Bohemen, Henderikse, Henk Peeters and Schoonhoven. (2) Two catalogues edited and designed by Henk Peeters, introducing the artists of the group with ills. of their work. One catalogue published in conjunction with an exhibition at Galerie Gunar in Dusseldorf, 1959. This copy numbered 57/500 and signed by all participants: Armando, van Bohemen, Henderikse, Henk Peeters, Schoonhoven and Sieger.
(3) Five invitation cards for exhibitions (1959-1960) in Galerie Gunar Dusseldorf, Galerie Weiss Kassel, Galerie Koepcke Copenhagen, Galerie Kasper Lausanne and Kunstsalon Bielefeld. (4) Five stencilled sheets with programme information and a price list (1959-1960). Includes a signed letter by Henk Peeters (29 sept 1959) to C. Doelman informing him that the group will stop showing in The Netherlands due to lack of sales, instead they will focus on Germany. (5) Two pamphlets: Manifest tegen Niets (Manifest against Nothing) and Einde (End), 1961. Each 21.5 x 14 cm, printed black on thin brown paper. Issued on April 1 1961 on the occasion of the International Exhibition of Nothing at Galerie 207 in Amsterdam by Armando, Onorio, Laszlo, Brock, Manzoni, Peeters, Henderikse, Schoonhoven, Megert, Køpcke, Lora and Rogge. All items derive from the archive of Henk Peeters and are in very good condition. (total 15)
