Zero on Sea and Balloon Blackberry

(1) Henk Peeters, Franck Gribling (ed), Balloon Blackberry; Zero onuitgevoerd. Amsterdam, Kunsthistorisch Instituut, 1970. 16 loose stencilled sheets in folded paper cover (with wear). Rare document on the never realized project ‘Zero op Zee’ meant to take place in 1966 on the Scheveningen Pier. Instead, an exhibition featuring models and sketches took place at Galerij Orez in The Hague in 1966. Participating artists were Fontana, Mack, Piene, Uecker, Hendrikse, Schoonhoven, Peeters, Klein, Kusama et al. Text in Dutch, proposal by Mack in German.

(2) Forum XX-3, 1967. Architecture magazine featuring a special about 'Zero op Zee'. Contains a 30 pp. insert with sketches for the (unrealized) project initiated by the EMS (Exploitatie Maatschappij Scheveningen) in 1965. Wild proposals by Gutai and Zero artists, illustrated in glossy b/w. Cover shows age wear, the Zero on Sea section is in mint condition. (total 2)
