Oehmigke & Riemschneider, located in Neuruppin, was one of the best-known producers of picture sheets in Germany in the 19th cent.
(2) "Militaire beweging". (Turnhout, Glenisson & Zonen, ca. 1856-1900). Handcol. woodcut engr. 40 x 30.5 cm. Depicts 8 horizontal rows of soldiers w. a total of 71 representations, for example soldiers on horseback and foot soldiers. No. 114 top right. (3) "Als 't koning, vaderland of vrijheid, moge gelden, / Wordt Neêrlandsch volk soldaat en zijn soldaten helden". Breda, Broese & Comp., n.d. (1828-53). Handcol. woodcut engr. 42 x 33 cm. 6 rows of 2 images each. Depicts var. ranks in the army in the top row; 2nd row sappers, drums, pipers and a battalion of infantry; 3rd row artillery w. front carriage and cannon; bottom 3 rows of exercises for foot soldiers. Each row w. short captions. No. 3 upper right. Ca. 1836. (4) Print of "Palatinus, Erzherzog von Oesterich". Title in German and French. No. 189 on bottom. All prints folded, some w. sm. (repaired) tears and waterst., edges worn. All very rare. (total 4)
