Red cardboard cigar box from the brand 'Vautier Prestige', 18.6 x 12.5 x 3.8 cm. Contains 43 cigarillos and a loose white card with the handwritten text 'Ne fumez pas', hand-signed Ben Vautier and numbered 36/300 in black felt pen.
Undated but presumably from the early 1960s as the artist then still signed his full name. From an edition of 300 featuring small text variations such as 'not to smoke', 'd'ont smoke', 'do not smoke' and 'stop smoking'. Fine copy.
