Ben Vautier, three posters

(1) Very rare 1958 poster for the first show at Ben's shop in Nice, at rue Tondutti de l'Escarène. Printed black on cardboard paper, 40.5 x 21 cm, folded once. The exhibition was titled 'Scorbut' (scurvy) featuring Martial Raysse, Albert Chubac, Claude Gilli and 'young artists'. Ben also participated (with the text piece 'Je suis un peintre raté' / I'm a failed artist), but is not mentioned on the poster.

(2) L'art est pas art, 1963. 39.5 x 11.5 cm, printed black on yellow paper. Pinholes in corners, moderate creasing and edge-wear. (3) Art Total, la mort de l'art libre expression, 1964. Printed black on cardboard sheet, 59.5 x 40 cm, folded once. Printed by Robaudi, Nice. Edgewear mostly along left side, else a fine copy. (total 3)
