Hamish Fulton, One hundred walks. Signed copy with original letter by the artist
The Hague, Haags Gemeentemuseum, 1991. Hardcover, 25 x 17.5 cm, 136 pp. Edition size unknown. This copy signed and dated 19 11 91, dedicated 'for Julian' on title page. Mint copy.
Added is a handwritten letter by Fulton, sent from Canterbury on Jan 6 1992, to Julian Andrews, British Council envoy in Amsterdam. It contains some (friendly) comments on Andrew's text about the book. There's a great passage about the actual number of walks: 'The difference between the title (100) and the walks total (165) is just an inference to the pointlessness of counting the walks and yet there was a specific number at a specific time'. Both Andrews's text (2 pp.) and Fulton's letter are included in this lot. (total 3)
