Hans-Peter Feldmann, 4 Bilder, 5 Bilder and 6 Bilder, 1971-1973

Three works from Feldmann's famous series of small staple-bound artists' books that each contain a collection of (found) images on a particular theme. The stamped title refers to the number of photographs in the booklet. These three samples are all from 1973 and published by Gian Enzo Sperone in Milan in an edition of 1000.

(1) 4 Bilder. Torino, 11 x 10.7 cm, 8 pp. Four random b/w images (corner store, suitcase, picture of James Dean, deserted highway). (2) 5 Bilder. 11.5 x 11 cm, 8 pp. Five b/w photographs of unmade beds. (3) 6 Bilder. 10 x 9.5 cm, 8 pp. Six wild animals in camouflage background. All copies near mint. (total 3)
