Two books designed by Irma Boom

(1) Irma Boom, Colour Based on Nature. Oosternijkerk, Thomas Eyck, 2012. Softcover, 24 x 31.5 cm, 176 pp. contained in cardboard box closed with multicoloured tape. First edition of 4100. The book is a graphic exploration of colour through an examination of 80 UNESCO nature sites, ranging from Great Barrier Reef in Australia to the Jungfrau in Swiss. The pages are double-folded and have to be cut with a blunt knife to reveal the abstract colour diagrams. This copy has an unopened box and uncut pages.

(2) Kunst op Kamers. 26 kunstenaars 21 locaties. De Rijp, Stichting Kunst op Kamers, 2008. Perforated cardboard slipcase, containing 2 softcover volumes, 25 x 20.5 cm, 232/ 32 pp. Exhibition catalogue, book design Irma Boom, photography Thijs Quispel, text Cees Straus. First edition.
