Two book objects by The Tinklers

the Baltimore-based multimedia artists duo of Charles Brohawn and Chris Mason. Includes: (1) The Tinklers History of the World, Weapons Chart, Food & Hygiene. Baltimore, Self-published, 1981. Accordion fold book, 14 x 13.5 cm. Large spread of 65 glued sheets with cartoon-like illustrations in black, a miniature rendering of a 20 meter painted timeline they used in a performance. Toning on front and back sheets, else a fine copy.

(2) Tinklers Book. Undated, 1980s. Ca. 30 sheets with perforation hole, held by metal ring, 11.5 x 15.5 cm. Handmade assembling of different sized cards, with (some original) drawings and collages. Rear of cover sheet is dedicated 'To Livia and Remko from The Tinklers'. (Remko Scha was a Dutch composer and pioneer in algorithmic arts in music). Both items rare. (total 2)
