Two shaped book bindings by the same unknown artist
Probably French, 1990s, both made of board covered w. col. paper, 34.5 x 24 x 11.5 cm and 30 x 17.5 x 15.5 cm, the smaller one w. magnets used as a locking mechanism. Very intriguing and highly unusual book bindings, hardly qualifying as such. Contents of the larger binding: Poésie Européennes. Printed in 300 numb. copies in Saint-Jean-de-Luz by Alinéa for Cercle de Reliure d'Art de Ciboure, 1991. Contents of the smaller one: Carrel, A. L'Homme cet inconnu. Paris, Plon, 1935.
