Confederate States of America, two government bonds

(1) $500 bond, no. 341, dated 1863. 34 x 35 cm. (2) $1,000 bond, no. 11261, dated 2 March 1863. 35 x 38 cm. Both w. uneven bottom edges from partially removed coupons.

Both folded and w. other minor defects, but overall in very good condition. The Confederacy started issuing bonds in order to raise money to finance its government and later on, the Civil War. (total 2)
