Bazon Brock, Bloom Zeitung and Manifeste Bloom, 1963/1964

(1) Bloomsday Demonstration und Veröffentlichung der Bloomzeitung. Frankfurt, Galerie Loehr, 1963. Postersize broadsheet designed as a newspaper, 75.5 x 110 cm folded to 75.5 x 55 cm, printed both sides in red and black. Produced by Bazon Brock with contributions by Thomas Bayrle, Bernhard Jaeger et al. The poster was distributed around the streets of Frankfurt on June 16 1963. The date celebrates the fact that Joyce's Ulysses chronicles the passage of Leopold Bloom through Dublin during an ordinary day, 16 June 1904. One side reproduces the front and rear pages of the German newspaper Bild-Zeitung. Words in the headlines are replaced by the word 'bloom'. The reverse side of the poster states 'BLOOM' in large scale lettering.

(2) Bazon Brock, Manifeste Bloom-Zeitung. Staplebound, 28 x 21 cm, 10 pp. Original sheets deriving from Dé-coll/age No.4, January 1964, printed on various colours and types of paper. Contains a glued-on title label from the contents page. (total 2)
