Wolf Vostell, Napkin manifesto 1965 and Seh-buch 1966

(1) Manifesto printed on a delicate white paper napkin, 33 x 33 cm folded to 16.5 x 16.5 cm. Itzehoe (Germany), 22 September 1965. Text reads 'Lesen Sie dieses Manifest und decollagieren Sie es indem Sie sich darin waschen und abtrocken'. This roughly translates to 'Read this manifesto and decollage it by using it for washing and drying yourself'. Printed b/w in the upper half of the napkin, lower half unprinted. Some foxing, pinholes and small tear on the unprinted part. Rare. Reference: Cat. Vostell, Kestner Gesellschaft Hannover 1977, p. 170.

(2) SEH-BUCH ein Decollage-Happening von Vostell after Mc Luhan 'The Medium is the Massage'. Frankfurt, Rowohlt Verlag and Studentenhaus, 23 September 1966. Announcement sheet featuring a mimeographed Happening text by Vostell, 30 x 21 cm. Cheap paper, shows browning and creasing. Very rare document. (total 2)
