Four Mönchengladbach boxes: Buren, Weiner, Ruthenbeck, Fisher
Published by the Städtisches Museum Mönchengladbach. Printed cardboard boxes, each ca. 20.5 x 16.5 x 2.5 cm. (1) Lawrence Weiner, 8 Arbeiten von Lawrence Weiner, 1973. Numbered copy 276/330. Contains a colophon, a folded poster (60 x 42 cm), an artists' book with orange cover titled 'A Primer', and an essay by Cladders. The upper lid features a printed text piece in English and German. (2) Reiner Ruthenbeck, 1972. Numbered copy 276/440. Contains colophon, 2 text sheets by Hans van der Grinten and Johannes Cladders in German, a leporello poster with 32 offset photographic illustrations and a 45-rpm record 'Reiner Ruthenbeck Dachskulptur 1972' inserted loose in a slot at the bottom of the box (sticking out as issued).
(3) Daniel Buren, Folge Nr. 2: Von Da An, A partir de là, 1975. Numbered copy 158/550. Bright yellow card box containing a colophon, two artists' books, one exhibition guide and an essay. Text by Buren and Johannes Cladders. Tape on rear of bottom lid. (4) Joel Fisher, 1975. Numbered copy 159/550. Contains an essay by Cladders and a catalogue designed by the artist, profusely illustrated with tiny photographs of Fisher’s work and descriptions in German and English. The exterior of all boxes show age wear, denting and creasing (as usual with the series), interiors are all in good condition. (total 4)
