A detailed biography by the famed Renaissance biographer Paolo Giovio (1483-1552). In this work, he details the lives of the Visconti family, who ruled in Milan from 1277 to 1447. Preface by the author dedicated to Henri d'Orleans, Dauphin of France, dated 1547.
