The sheets are contained in a white cardboard box with printed publisher's information, 30.5 x 21.5 x 6.5 cm. Signed, dated and numbered on first sheet ‘Douglas Gordon '92 A/P’.

Scottish artist Douglas Gordon (1966) often addresses the functioning and disfunctioning of memory through images and language. List of Names (1990-present) is an ongoing project to document everyone the artist remembers. The lists are contained in boxed editions but also installed as wall pieces, debuting in 1990 at the show Self Conscious State at Third Eye Center, Glasgow. This boxed set is the third iteration, the first appeared in August 1990 (1440 names typed in Frutiger 66), the second in August 1991 (1705 names typeset in American Typewriter). The box has wear along margins and corners, the interior work is in very good condition.
