Alberta College of Art Gallery Calgary, six announcement cards
(1) Three large announcement cards from February 1975, 24.2 x 16.5 cm. Features 'Chris Burden, A New Work for ACA Gallery'. The work consisted of the now (in)famous performance 'Do you believe in Television ?' in which the audience was stuck in a stairwell based video installation to which Burden set fire. Other cards publicize a Fringe Research and Holography workshop with Michael Sowden and David Hylinski, and a video workshop by Noel Harding. All cards with toning and age wear.
(2) Three cards from September 1975, 15.5 x 11 cm. Announces the group show 'Sweepings' with Carl André, Billy Al Bengston, Jasper Johns, Claes Oldenburg, Edward Ruscha et al; a solo show by Ed Kienholz; and an exhibition of prints from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, with Dennis Oppenheim's work 'Reading Position for 2nd degree Burn' as cover image.
