[Picture postcards] 175 postcards

Most photographic picture postcards, ca. 1900-40, most uncirculated. Exquisite collection, including many erotic cards, caricatures (incl. a movable card) and series. Comprises a.o.: (1) Series of 12 photogr. cards wishing "Buon Anno" or "Buon Natale" issued by Cecani (Italy). (2) Photogr. cards depicting "Aaron, de reus der reuzen" and a black couple in an early car labelled "The Zulu Motorclub" on the side (1905). (3) Series of 28 (mainly erotic) photogr. cards issued by Lehnert & Landrock in Tunis. A few duplicates, an orig. envelope for 12 cards preserved. (4) Series of 8 erotic photogr. cards issued by A. Baratti (Asmara). (5) Series of 18 cards reproducing portraits by the South African artist K. Cottrell (1887-?). (6) Four orig. designs in gouache monogrammed and dated "F.N. '42". (7) Series of caricatures called "Quelques polichinelles" (6x) and "Quelques métiers et occupations" (5x) issued by Imbelco (Elizabethville), all but a few signed Vigneron in the technique. (8) Eleven humorous cards in a series called "Veilig Verkeer in Speelgoedland", the caricatures signed Lindenberg in the technique.
