Rooskens, A. (1906-76). Nine items: (1) Untitled composition
Printed in yellow and black, 32.5 x 10.5 cm, monogrammed and dated '65 in pencil, verso w. short signed note "De beste wensen voor 1965!" in pen and a sm. ill. in ink. (2) Galerie Le Canard exposeert werk van Anton Rooskens van 23 februari tot 15 maart 1952. Opening door Jan G. Elburg (...). Poster printed in yellow and black, 36 x 24 cm. W. a few tears (1x repaired w. tape verso). This copy was folded, stamped (1952) and sent to Dr. D. Bouvy, Lange Nieuwstraat 38 in Utrecht. Bouvy was the founder and curator-director of the Aartsbisschoppelijk Museum (1946-76) and from 1976 to 1981 director of the rijksmuseum Het Catharijneconvent at the same address. (3) Visage d'Afrique. Lithogr., 9.5 x 22.3 cm, monogrammed and dated '53 in pencil. Used as a greeting card by Rooskens' wife Dientje after his death: "Met de allerbeste wensen voor de Kerst en 1978!! Dientje." -and 3 copies of a card w. the same design as the first and third items of the lot (in orig. envelope) and catalogues for exhibitions of Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (1961), Galerie Delta Rotterdam (1963-1964) and Court Gallery Copenhagen (1967, waterst.).
