Occas. foxing. Collection of beautiful engravings by Bartoli portraying the ancient oil lamps found in Roman underground tombs. Bartoli was a renowned artist and great scholar. The first pages of the work contain the commentary of the art historian Giovanni Pietro Bellori (1613-1696), who examined each lamp illustrated in the work.
