[Great Britain] Nine various manuscripts: (1) Will and codicil of Robert Mann

Will dated 2 Sept., codicil dated 28 Oct. 1751. Manuscript on paper, 7 numb. lvs and 1 blank leaf, each leaf measuring 42 x 33.5 cm, thread-bound and folded. The first leaf loose and w. hole from the thread. Copy by Ottaway on laid paper w. watermark date 1828. Mann (1678-1751) built Linton Park, a large 18th cent. country house in Linton, Kent, England. -and 8 others, all in a rather poor, mouldy condition, incl. 6 indentures on large sheets of fold. vellum, dated 1711 (w. 2 wax seals of Samuel and John Baily), 1737 (w. 7 (of 8) wax seals), 1740 (w. 5 wax seals, incl. the seals of Sir William Catt and Mary and Elizabeth Catt), 1743 (w. 7 wax seals, incl. the seal of Sir William Catt and two other members of the Catt family), 1754 and 1768 (w. the wax seal of Francis Brooke).
