Edges sl. rubbed, some wormholes and minor loss to top of spine, stamp to title p. *The Albani family amassed a vast collection of books and manuscripts over the course of two centuries. Clement XI (pope from 1700-1721) is mostly known for his addition of oriental books and manuscripts to the collection named after him. A contemporary manuscript note to the first page of this book attests that it was a gift to Clement XI from Cardinal Albani, his nephew, editor and biographer. W. ex libris of Ph.
