Folds, central horizontal fold strengthened verso, vague waterst., sm. hole in centre. Extremely rare letterpress request by the Staten van Zeeland in which they actively canvas for planters and labourers who are willing to travel to the colony of Suriname, free of charge, alone or accompanied by family. Incentives included a tax waiver for the first 4 years of residence in Suriname, and captains willing to transport labourers would also be compensated.
