The print depicts the peaks of the Andes mountain range, such as the Chimborazo and Cotopaxi volcanoes (the highest mountains in the Andes, in Ecuador), w. indication of the comparative heights of the Popocatepetl, the Sidatepetel and the Mont Blanc peaks as well as the highest points reached during expeditions by Bonpland, Humboldt, Bouguer (1802) and De la Condamine (1738).
